MEP commits to ISO14001 - October 2009

As part on MEP's ongoing Continues Sustainable Improvement Plan (CSIP), in August 2009 we decided to implement an Environmental Management System (EMS) in accordance with ISO14001 to recognise our actions in controlling and managing our environment.  Not only will it will allow us to demonstrate that MEP is legally compliant, but it will also allow us to support our key customers’ own environmental policies.  It will assist us in reducing wastage of raw materials and resources, providing significant reduction on the draw on utilities, helping to review and improve our processes on an ongoing basis. Our initial assessment is already planned for February 2010, and we are aiming for full accreditation by the end of September 2010.
