Farnborough Airshow - July 2006
How quickly time flies. It only seems like a few months ago we were at Farnborough, never mind 2 years.
As with previous years we closed the factory for the day and a record number of us from MEP visited the show. That wasn't the only record that got broken - it also happened to be the hottest July day since the early 1900's! We all managed to survive the heat and sun to see the A380 fly, a magnificent site, especially as we have numerous parts and components on it. It was most impressive.
There were also a number of other aircraft flying that we have parts and components on, including the Eurofighter / Typhoon, Tornado, Hawk to name but a few.
Many people found items that they had been involved in manufacturing, which is a major part of the day.
